Tribute to my friend Donna

My husband recommended I take some time for myself today while he took the kids to church. It is my best friends birthday. She left this world this past November. The book is one she sent to me. She never missed one of my bdays, even when she was close to death. I came to sit near a small waterfall because it reminds me of her. We climbed part of Crabtree falls in VA together and had dreams of climbing the whole thing. ..she was not well enough at the time we were there. The running water is everything to me. Reminds me of the book "Hind Feet for High Places" If anyone has read the book, you know the water whispers something. ..all I can think of is the character Much Afraid.....the story of my life...however not who God created me to be. My friend, Donna, always treated me like I was wonderful and awesome. She was such an encouragement to me and inspired me to dream, and to never stop believing. The necklace is one I made her and I now have back again. Thoughts of her inspired the necklace. Laboradite beads are my favorite. ..at first glance they look plain, but look deeply at them and study them and they are mesmerizing! Just like how Donna saw me and what our relationship meant. She likes gold and I silver, so I have silver and gold filigree beads included. The birds and nest...she loved nature so much, she was a bird watcher, filmed them and watched them. Her yard is like a wildlife sanctuary. So I'm celebrating her memory today and sharing what an incredible person heaven has received. I know her love for me was the love of Christ. ..so it lives on. I love you always Donna!
